Foxberry Summer Camp, 2026

June 1 - August 21, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. $360 per week, lunch included. For children ages 5 and up. Preschool remains open during the summer.

Program Overview:

Our Bilingual Summer Camp is designed for children ages 5-10 to explore both the Spanish and Chinese languages. The camp offers a three-hour Spanish immersion program in the morning and a three-hour Chinese immersion program in the afternoon. We are excited to host the camp at the beautiful St. Mark’s Education Building, featuring inviting classrooms and a shaded playground for both fun and learning. Our program provides a warm lunch and healthy snacks, as food is an important component of culture and a valuable learning opportunity for practicing vocabulary.

  • Daily Camp Schedule

    8:00 – 9:00 am: Outdoor Activity(Activities vary daily, e.g., Martial Arts, Soccer, Yoga)

    9:00 am – 12:00 pm: Spanish Immersion

    • 9:00 – 9:30 am: Morning Snack

    • 9:30 – 10:00 am: Circle Time

    • 10:00 – 10:30 am: Small Group Project (based on proficiency level)

    • 10:30 – 11:00 am: Outdoor Games (shaded area)

    • 11:00 – 11:30 am: Table Time (Arts & Crafts)

    • 11:30 am – 12:00 pm: Dance and Songs

    12:00 – 1:00 pm: Lunch and Quiet Time

    1:00 – 4:00 pm: Chinese Immersion

    • 1:00 – 1:30 pm: Circle Time

    • 1:30 – 2:00 pm: Small Group Project (based on proficiency level)

    • 2:00 – 2:30 pm: Math Activities

    • 2:30 – 3:00 pm: Individual Project (one-on-one interaction with teacher)

    • 3:00 – 3:30 pm: Afternoon Snack

    • 3:30 – 4:00 pm: Oral Presentation Practice

    4:00 – 5:00 pm: Outdoor Activity (Water Day on Wednesdays)

  • Students will be immersed in Spanish in the morning and Chinese in the afternoon. Our camp provides interactive learning opportunities designed to spark students’ interest and curiosity. We actively respond to students' individual needs and maintain close communication with parents to ensure our educational goals align with each family's expectations.

  • Director:

    Dr. Xiaofei Guo:
    A native of China, Dr. Guo holds a doctoral degree in Education and has a passion for language immersion programs for young learners.

    Instructors and Coaches:

    Teresa V.:
    A native of Mexico, Teresa previously taught in the Upland Unified School District. She brings over three decades of experience teaching multilingual learners.

    Jasmin R.:
    A native of Mexico, Jasmin is a qualified early childhood educator and a P.E. teacher in the Etiwanda School District. She adds fun and energy to the learning experience.

    Hao X.:
    With more than 30 years of teaching experience in both China and the U.S., Hao brings extensive knowledge and expertise to our program.

    Jin T.:
    A native of China and qualified early childhood educator, Jin loves working with young children.

    Chen S.:
    A Shaolin Kung Fu Master and native Chinese speaker, Chen shares his deep expertise in martial arts and Chinese culture.

    Michael N.:
    A native English speaker and experienced soccer coach, Michael brings years of coaching experience and enthusiasm to our camp.

  • What Ages Are Welcome?

    Kids ages 5–10 are invited!

    My Child Does Not Speak Spanish or Chinese – Is That Okay?

    Absolutely! We welcome everyone and provide a supportive bilingual learning environment. Students may use English to communicate, learn, and have fun. We support learning at all levels.

    What to Wear?

    Dress comfortably! Be sure to bring an extra set of clothes, just in case. Don’t forget sunscreen!

    How to Register?

    Call Dr. Guo for a pre-event conversation to help us better understand your child, your family's culture, and educational goals. Then, select up to six weeks you'd like your child to attend. You’ll receive a confirmation email with registration details and payment instructions.

    Due to high demand and limited capacity, each student may register for a maximum of 6 weeks this summer.

Program Add-On:

Enhance your child’s summer camp experience with our exciting Featured Programs in Math workshop, Discovery Lab, Programming, Painting and Music! For an additional $100 per week, enrolled campers can participate in specialty sessions led by expert instructors. These bilingual enrichment programs are designed to inspire creativity, critical thinking, and confidence—all in a fun, engaging environment.

    👧 Ages: 6–10

    This interactive program makes math exciting through games, puzzles, logic challenges, and real-world problem-solving activities. Campers will strengthen number sense, addition and subtraction fluency, early multiplication concepts, and critical thinking skills in a supportive and engaging environment.

    Students will build confidence in math while developing reasoning skills that prepare them for the upcoming school year.

    👧 Ages: 6 and up

    In this hands-on science lab, campers will explore basic concepts in physics and chemistry through safe, guided experiments and exciting demonstrations. Topics may include motion, forces, simple machines, chemical reactions, states of matter, and everyday science applications.

    Students will develop curiosity, observation skills, and a foundational understanding of scientific thinking through fun, age-appropriate experiments.

    🌐 Programming in Scratch Jr. and Blockly

    In this bilingual coding camp, campers will learn foundational coding concepts such as sequencing, loops, and conditionals while developing problem-solving and storytelling skills through interactive, bilingual programming activities. No prior coding experience is required!

    Instructor: Dr. Cadavid
    Senior Instructional Designer and Lecturer at CSU San Bernardino, Dr. Cadavid is a bilingual educator with extensive experience in youth programs and a passion for inclusive, tech-based learning.

    👧 Ages: 6 and up
    🎯Learn to draw cartoons and develop sketching skills

    This hands-on program introduces children to the fundamentals of visual art through Chinese painting, sketching, and character design. Students will explore artistic expression while learning techniques rooted in cultural traditions and modern design, with opportunities to build a mini art portfolio.

    Instructor: Mr. Ray Mu
    Ray Mu is a national-certified artist and award-winning designer with experience as an art director at McCann-Erickson and lead illustrator at a major Japanese game company. He has taught students of all ages in his art studio, with expertise in Chinese painting, calligraphy, and professional design for global brands including Sony, Coca-Cola, and L'Oréal.

    👧 Ages: 6–10
    🎶 For beginners or those with little prior music experience

    Campers will enjoy a 1-hour session exploring the fundamentals of music, including sing-alongs, basic note reading, rhythm exercises, and fun percussion activities. Perfect for young beginners looking to discover their musical talents!
